Design-Build, ground-up construction of a 4,200-square-foot orientation center. The building includes a 600 square foot classroom, 900 square foot lobby and exhibition area and a 1,700 square foot multipurpose space.
Designed to LEED Silver, this project is on an environmentally sensitive site at the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers and along the major migratory bird path of the Mississippi flyway. It serves as a welcoming and educational facility to promote the waterway management mission of the Corps and the conservation efforts of The National Audubon Society. The building will serve as an educational tool to promote good stewardship with the natural surroundings.
